To support this vital work, we’re recruiting for a **Grounds Maintenance Chargehand**. **The Role**

As a Grounds Maintenance Chargehand, you’ll:

- Provide weekly performance/resource updates to the Grounds Maintenance

Coordinator.
- Lead and line manage a team of Grounds Maintenance Operatives to effectively deliver a grounds maintenance service.
- Operate and carry out basic maintenance to all grounds maintenance machinery and equipment in line with Health and Safety Regulations
- Ensure the relevant mandatory training is carried out and kept up to date for

your direct reports.
- Work as part of the Grounds Maintenance team to deliver exceptional customer service and experience.

**About You**

We’re looking for someone who:

- Minimum of SVQ Level 2 qualification
- Experience in a grounds maintenance role
- Understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Understanding of the safe use of relevant products and equipment required for the role
- Customer service skills
- Ability to understand and quantify risk
- Ability to undertake manual outdoor work in all weathers
- Strong attention to detail
