Subject to a bid award, Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Unit Tool Co Ordinator to join our site in Yeovilton, Somerset.

Serco are proud to support The Royal Navy Air Station in Yeovilton, that delivers services ranging from the repair and maintenance of our aircrafts such as the returning from combat duty - to fuel delivery and engine support. Yeovilton is one of the Navy'stwo principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK and home to more than 100 aircraft.

The Unit Tool Controller is responsible for the ground support to Merlin aircraft and the control and maintenance of the Unit’s aircraft tooling and test equipment.

**The role will also oversee management of**:

- Issue centre operatives
- Calibration of tools and equipment
- Lubricants and COSHH substances
- Demands for tooling/equipment
- Control of all tooling/equipment iaw extant Polices and Regulations

**Essential requirements for the role**:

- Project Planning and Lean Operating Procedures.
- Naval Air Publications and Compound - Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (C-IETP).
- Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices.
- Understanding of Stores Management in a Military environment
- Completed a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
- Have a good understanding of rotary wing military (aviation) procedures.
- An understanding and proven experience of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA).
- Excellent leadership and people management experience.
- An excellent capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs
