Due to internal progression, we are currently recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of a large FMCG business based in York.
**Description**
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for, however not limited to; raising purchase orders as and when required, receipt of purchase orders with deliveries in a timely manner, processing of deliverynotes against purchase orders in a timely manner, distributing invoices to department managers for authorisation, reconciling supplier statements, liaising with suppliers and resolving queries, working to approved deadlines, filing of invoices and deliverynotes, learning and understanding the stock ordering system for the purposes
of cover as and when needed, controlling and balancing petty cash - ensuring an accurate reconciliation is
performed and answering queries.
**Profile**
- Have previous experience in a similar type of role
- Be happy to work in fast-paced environment with experience of organisational change
- Have excellent attention to detail
**Job Offer**
Salary is up to £25,000 depending on your level of experience
Working hours: Monday - Friday
8 - 4:30pm - can flex on those times
37.5 hour working week
Free onsite parking
Annual leave - 20 days + bank holidays
Please note: this is an office based role.
