You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider school team to deliver tailored support, implement individual education plans, and promote inclusion and positive relationships. **Key Responsibilities** - Provide one-to-one support to a named child in line with their individual needs and targets. - Assist with learning activities, adapting materials and approaches where necessary. - Support the child’s social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and self-esteem. - Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to monitor and report on progress. - Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. - Maintain confidentiality and follow all safeguarding procedures at all times. - Supportive of our school’s Christian values and ethos - Have experience working with children with additional or special educational needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, or SEMH). - Be patient, flexible, and understanding, with a positive attitude towards supporting individual needs. - Be able to build warm, trusting relationships with children and staff. - Work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers and leaders. - Demonstrate good communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding. - Hold (or be willing to work towards) a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
