**Position: Youth Support Worker - SEND/SEMH Students**
**Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester**
**Start Date: Trial day for September Start**
**Pay: From £96 per day.**

This is a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. The centre is focused on empowering students to achieve their academic and personal goals, fostering a culture of inclusivity and growth.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the team. As a key member of the support staff, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to students with SEND, ensuring they have the necessary support to thrive academically and socially within the college setting.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualised learning plans and provide targeted support to students with SEND.
- Offer one-to-one or group assistance to students, adapting teaching materials and methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Work closely with teaching and specialist staff, including speech therapists and occupational therapists, to create a cohesive support network for students.
- Monitor and document the progress of students with SEND, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and supportive college atmosphere.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant qualification in Learning Support or a related field.
- Experience working with students with SEND in an educational setting, preferably within a college environment.
- Understanding of various SEND conditions and effective strategies to support individual needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with SEND.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- **Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.**_
