Despatch Coordinator

Our client who is a prestigious manufacturer is going through a period of growth and as a result they are looking to invest in their despatch department and recruit for a Despatch Coordinator to join their team based in Redditch.
The role will be supporting the business with their UK import and Export procedures and customs. You will be responsible for despatching products to customers who are based all over the world so previous experience in a similar role will be essential and experienceof working to tight delivery schedules within a busy manufacturing business previously will be a distinct advantage.
Despatch Coordinator key duties include:

- Arranging delivery via courier
- Arranging delivery via air and sea freight
- Responsible for carrier bookings and communication
- Preparation of necessary export documentation ensuring compliance with local and overseas regulations
- Coordinate all aspects of the Logistics, Import and Export shipping operation to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of customers orders.
- Producing commercial invoice, packing list & certificates of origin and file these accordingly
- Liaising with credit control to check customers account status and Sales to ensure shipping is to customer requirements and dates.
The successful Despatch Coordinator will have the following skills and experience:

- Working in a similar dealing with import/ export or shipping documentation so you can understand the legal and regulatory requirements.
Strong organisational skills so you can plan and prioritise your workload whilst dealing with multiple tasks efficiently
Working with SAP would be a distinct advantage but not essential
Strong commination skills both verbally and written as you will be dealing with customers and carriers etc.
