**About the Job**

Relationships mean everything to us, and this one is particularly special. You’ll have an important part to play in automotive success that spans nearly 50 years. Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now as one our Freight Administrators / Transport Planners.

You will co-ordinate and control the inbound and outbound movement of Aftermarket Parts globally to specific markets across all transport modes, achieving this through executing the processes and procedures required in an accurate and timely manner to minimise any delay to the customer.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

- Be responsible for the shipping and transportation activities within specific markets globally, covering road, sea and air inbound and/or outbound to Mercia Park
- Ensure the timely and unhindered movement of goods and resolution of exceptions, damage, late or miss-delivery and resolution/ recovery of such situations in conjunction with the carrier, warehouse operation and transport teams
- Manage the process from order shipment from a customer or supplier, through to carrier booking, generation of shipping documentation and compliance in accordance with local and customer requirements/regulations

**About You**
- You’ll have experience of working in a warehousing environment - and an understanding of Transport and / or Distribution would be an advantage
- Understanding the need for customer focus, you’ll be used to achieving targets and working to timescales that must be achieved
- You’ll enjoy working in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple queries and processes at the same time, and thrive on the pressure this can sometimes bring
- With experience of adapting to programmes of change you’ll help solve problems and will thrive in an environment of continuous improvement where you get to help develop processes and procedures to ensure the ultimate service for the customer
- You’ll have a good awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards
- As an excellent communicator you know how to listen effectively and have professional spoken and written skills
- You’ll have good IT skills in Microsoft Office and / or Google Suite - SAP experience would be a real advantage

Please note: There will be some flexibility of shift times required initially in this role until the warehouse is running at full capacity whereby this will then be a late shift only role.
