**Job description**

Know How Resourcing is delighted to be recruiting for a **Customer Service Assistant** for a prestigious client in the Glasgow area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Glasgow branch of a well-established family owned and run business with depots across the whole of the UK. They are the leading distributor of protective & industrial coatings and building/maintenance repair products, with over 45 years of experience.

The role requires you to be able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize your daily tasks.

Full training will be provided, however, you will also have the additional support of your colleagues across the UK, where you will be part of a larger team and will be required to work as such.

Who are we looking for?
- Someone who is reliable with a good telephone manner, enthusiasm, and pride in all they do.
- The ability to work alone, but also with colleagues both at Glasgow and across the Group.
- A willingness to learn and grow with the role - now is your chance to shine and get noticed.
- Prior customer service experience would be beneficial for the role, although not essential.
- Experience in using Microsoft systems such as Word/Excel is required.
- SAGE experience is preferred, though not essential, as we wish to find the right applicant and full training will be given.
- A full UK driving licence.

This is a varied role that offers an opportunity for both personal and commercial development.

What does the role involve?
- The processing of orders, dealing with inquiries, and supplying quotations.
- Organising and receiving stock deliveries (both manually and by using a pallet truck) which can and will be heavy.
- Incoming stock will need managing and organizing following branch systems.
- Tinting and mixing our coatings to meet our customers’ colour and product requirements.
- Deliveries will be required using the branch vehicle (circa 60-mile radius of the depot).

All these roles are customer facing and therefore any individual is expected to be an ambassador in representing the business at all times.

**The role is advertised at £12 per hour with a 36-hour week on offer. Overtime is potentially available.**

**The working hours for this role would be 8.00 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm on Friday**

**20 full days of paid holiday are provided, in addition to all public bank holidays plus the period between Christmas and New Year.**

Free roadside parking is available. This is a permanent, contracted vacancy.
