We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly organised receptionist to join the newly created booking hub, based in the Cardiac Centre at Broomfield Hospital.
You will assist with the weekly validation of clinics, booking appointments and recording patient outcomes on completion of clinic activity identifying and escalating any capacity issues, proactively monitor all outpatient clinics and highlight any capacity issues or potential 18 week breaches, where possible prevent these with the support of the Operational Manager.
You will need to have strong administrative skills that underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and have the ability to make a real difference to the patient experience.
You will be one of a team responsible for effectively managing the smooth coordination of the outpatient reception/booking teams. Ensuring that elective targets in relation to outpatient bookings are in line with the 18 week RTT processes.
You will join the team as part of the central Cardiology booking hub which will link in with colleagues across the MSE, ensuring accurate and comprehensive patient records and clinical details including outpatient referrals are added onto EPR in a timely manner, according to agreed standards, (the Trusts’ Elective Access Policy and Data Quality).
Your role will be to assist with the weekly validation of the Trusts’ patient tracking list (PTL) and will support the outpatient booking teams, booking appointments on EPR as per Trust procedures in line with the Trusts Elective Access Policy and ensure all referrals are clinically triaged within 48 hours.
Your role is to ensure that patients on ERS (Electronic Referral System) are given appointment dates in accordance with clinical priority and length of wait, and that patients on the ASI list are managed accordingly and that the appropriate action is taken following both patient and hospital cancellations, such that the utilisation of elective capacity is maximised.
