**Quantity Surveyor | East Devon| £45-55k + package**

A regional building contractor are looking to take on a new member, ideally to move into a senior role managing others in the commercial team. You would be joining a close knit, friendly team, based in East Devon, but with expected travel to sites acrossDevon and sometimes into Somerset.

**The Company**

This is a family feel business established for over 100 years with a solid reputation in the local area. They handle both new build and refurbishment works across the commercial, educational, residential and leisure sectors with values between £300k and£4million as well as handling small works projects between £1,000 - £300k.

Testament to their excellent reputation is that their pipeline is largely made up of repeat business and returning clients, whilst also maintaining positions on local frameworks.

**The Role**

They are looking to take on an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has a solid level of understanding and experience in the commercial position. This is a hands on role, with the expectation you will be fully involved in the project from tender stage throughto site completion. You will also be expected to manage the workload and output of two Graduate Quantity Surveyors and an Estimator.

For the right person, they are keen to explore a progression plan to Commercial Manager level in the near future, so this is an excellent opportunity to embed yourself in a company who are focused on promoting from within.

**The Person**
- Experience as an Intermediate/Senior QS with a main contractor
- Delivery of projects up to £4million or handling multiple lower value projects
- Thorough understanding of a variety of contracts and construction methods
- Ideally degree / HNC qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Experience managing more junior staff
- Excellent communication with clients and external stakeholders
- Forward thinking attitude, keen to progress
