Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans.
- Create and deliver engaging content across multiple platforms.
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communication activities.
- Support and deliver communication activities for programmes or associated projects.
- Build strong relationships within the council’s communications team, its customers and with a range of partners and stakeholders.
- Communicate change, employee engagement, and organisational culture change effectively.
- Manage external relations and media when delivering your communication plans and activities.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Self-starter with a curious mindset and a commitment to personal development.
- Team player who is dependable, enthusiastic, and innovative.
- Proven track record of quality, creative, and effective communication work.
- Excellent copywriting, creative, planning, and influencing skills.
- Experience in delivering successful communications that support and drive understanding and adoption of change.
- Ability to engage and influence a range of audiences through internal and external channels.
- Experience in advising, influencing and challenging colleagues and service delivery partners at all levels on their communications objectives and requirements.
