**Location**:
Kingsteignton, Near Newton Abbot.

**Description**:
We are a small, fun, family-run bakery and require a Kitchen Porter to help in our busy bakery. You will help to keep the bakery running smoothly by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic. Full training will be provided.
The shift will start 8.30am to 5pm with a 30 minutes break (we can be a little flexible with the start finish times) Monday to Friday.

**Duties**:

- Collect and wash pots, pans, trays, tins and equipment and ensure they are stored correctly, getting all equipment back into use as quickly as possible
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness of all equipment, work surfaces, shelving, walls etc.
- Ensure that all waste and recyclable materials are handled and disposed of correctly
- Empty bins and ensure they are kept clean
- Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the maintenance man
- Sweep & mop floors in production areas
- Top up consumables in production area
- Adhere to tasks on daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules
- Assist with the cutting and packing of bakery products
- Make boxes, pack products, correctly label and store ready for dispatc
**Hours**:
You will be required to complete a trial day.

**Skills required**:

- High standards of cleanliness
- Must be able to work efficiently at speed
- Ability to perform physical duties (must be able to lift 25kg bags of flour/sugar)
- Organised and efficient approach to work
- Self-motivated and not afraid of hard work
- Experience of food handling or kitchen work would be beneficial
- Food Hygiene certificate an advantage but not essential

- Willingness to take on other duties essential
- Flexibility and an energetic and enthusiastic approach are essential
**Important other information**:

- Must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK
- There are some physically demanding aspects to the work at times e.g. handling baking equipment and large quantities of ingredients
