Service Care Solutions are looking for Interaction Designers in Newcastle with the skills and knowledge to help teams deliver services that are simpler, faster and easier to use across a Government Department.
You'll be working alongside other user centred design professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team who are committed to deliver the best possible outcomes for all of our users.
You'll work as part of a highly supportive community with opportunities to grow your current skills and learn new ones.
As an Interaction Designer you'll:

- Use data from research and analytics to understand user's needs and test designs to meet them
- Design collaboratively and in the open, engaging your team in the design process
- Create prototypes to test ideas
- Design with consideration for accessibility and inclusion
- Share knowledge across teams, making sure that your designs are reusable and consistent
- Contribute to the Interaction Design community across government
We're looking for an Interaction Designer who can demonstrate skills and experience in the following:
User focus - Use data from research and analytics to understand user's needs and test designs to meet them
Evidence and context based design - Work with others to design solutions that are based on evidence, and help identify gaps in knowledge
Prototyping - Use a variety of prototyping tools and techniques
Communication - Present your work and share design decisions, explaining ideas in a way that people understand and actively listen to other people's input
Accessibility - Design with accessibility in mind, showing familiarity with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines and designing to meet AA standards
Collaboration - Work in the open, engaging others in the design process
