Non-ferrous Buyer

**Role**: Non-Ferrous Grader

**Location**: Dartford, Erith

**Hours**:Monday - Friday, 42.75 hour per week

**The Role**:We are looking to recruit a Non-Ferrous Buyer to join our team, based at our metal recycling site in Erith. You will be responsible for Grading, Cropping and sorting different metals.

**What you will be doing**:

- Sort, weigh, and grade all non-ferrous materials on-site into specific categories as directed, ensuring all stock is sorted and weighed correctly
- Advise the weighbridge on necessary deductions based on the sorted materials
- Liaise with customers and members of the public following company guidelines and customer service standards, providing necessary information regarding materials and processes
- Process both ferrous and non-ferrous materials efficiently and safely, following company policies to identify and purchase ferrous, non-ferrous, and precious metals
- Comply with GA standards and Safe Systems of Work (SSW) during all recycling activities and operations
- Endeavour to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
- Cooperate and work as a team with all other site personnel to ensure smooth and efficient site operations
- Keep the working area clean and tidy
- Perform any other duties as required to support site operations
- Possession of a Forklift Truck license is desirable for this position

**Who you are**:

- Experience in Grading different metals
- Enjoy working in a busy team and able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
- Valid FLT License, advantage but not essential
- Enjoy working outdoors
