**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Stock Controller/Purchasing Assistant include, but are not limited to:

- Monitoring of stock levels across 4,800 SKUs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Daily running of Back Orders required by Supplier report.
- Drawing up Purchase Orders to cover customer back orders and replenish stock levels.
- Checking Supplier Order Acknowledgments against Purchase Orders and updating stock records.
- Progressing of Outstanding Purchase Orders and updating new dates on the Purchase Orders.
- Processing customer back orders when stock becomes available.
- Weekly monitoring of product sales reports to identify future stock shortfalls.
- Administration and upkeep of stock records, creating new and updating existing.
- Administration and upkeep of Supplier records.
- Managing and allocating new stock codes (SKU’s).
- Updating of Customer Price Bands.
- Organising Collection and Customs clearance of deliveries from around the world using existing freight forwarders.
- Scheduling of deliveries including container shipments, overseas and UK.
- Potential progression within the business leading to a company buyer position.
- Negotiating Prices prior to placing Purchase Orders.
