Support Worker

Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Prepare and serve meals while considering dietary restrictions and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Implement behaviour management strategies when necessary
- Support individuals with mobility issues, including the use of moving and handling equipment when required
Experience preferred, but for those new to the industry full training will be given:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within home care or hospice care settings
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and protocols
- Ability to handle challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- A compassionate and patient-centred approach to caregiving
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities, including on-line training, face to face training, and monthly meetings.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
