THE ROLE

The role is for an experienced Reinsurance Purchaser, to assist the Outwards Reinsurance Department

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Placement of outwards Reinsurance (both XoL and Proportional)
- Analysis and review of prospective Reinsurance.
- Review and agreement of placing slips
- Maintaining good reinsurer and broker relationships
- Production of reinsurance renewal information / exhibits
- Review of underlying data
- Regular (quarterly) account analysis
- Provide information in order to respond to Reinsurer queries
- Monitoring account developments
- Assist the outwards Reinsurance Department (Purchasing and Operational)
- Various ad-hoc tasks

REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the relationships with Customers, Agents and Service Providers:

- Advise, assist and service customers on insurance and risk matters to promote customers’ satisfaction;
- Foster positive relationships with Customers and attain an understanding of their needs;
- Ensure that Customer Complaints are promptly identified, recorded and referred as appropriate; and,
- Ensure that the principles of Treating Customers Fairly are upheld by Agents and Service Providers

OUR REQUIREMENTS

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Essential
- Reinsurance purchasing experience
- Good Reinsurer and broker relationships
- Good understanding of Reinsurance

Desirable
- Good understanding of Insurance

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Essential
- Technical reinsurance skills
- Ability to analyse and understand RI Pricing/Rating
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Good knowledge of Word
- Highly numerate with good data manipulation skills
- Good awareness of risks and controls

Desirable
- Experience of Adobe X Pro
- Experience of XL Pro

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
- ACII qualified or actively studying
- Degree
