Collections Specialist

As a result of continued success and an ambition to grow the business, Capita, one of Scotland’s leading specialists of Debt Collection & Sheriff Officer Services, is looking to recruit motivated individuals with the capability to perform at the highest level within our contact & recoveries centre.

**Salary**: £19,371 per annum + Performance Bonus Scheme

Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Permanent Full Time Position (Shift Rota will apply)

Location: Kilmarnock Town Centre (Potential for future home working)

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Handling inbound and outbound calls, you will be responsible for professionally negotiating payment arrangements and settlements on behalf of our clients.
- You will also manage your own portfolio of accounts, making appropriate recovery and legal action decisions where appropriate.

- Excellent call handling skills
- To be quick and effective at building trust and relationships.
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- To be comfortable working towards targets and KPI’s.
- A good knowledge and understanding of GDPR.
- A determined and positive attitude with good work ethics

**What’s in it for you?**
- Excellent training: Practical based induction training will be initially between 4-6 weeks, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm. Thereafter you will be supported in a mentoring environment with ongoing training and development including workshops to enhance skill levels and transfer to current shift rota.
- Sample Shift rota: Monday -Friday with one late shift 11:30-8pm and one in four Saturday 9am-1pm
