This position of Principal Cyber Security Consultant is working for a highly professional, growing organisation, who have an excellent reputation, supplying Cyber Security services to a wide range of clients, requiring you to have a UK driving licence tovisit client sites.

You should have at least 3 years experience in:

- Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus Assess Qualifications, preferably as a Lead Assessor
- IASME governance assessor
- Pen-Testing qualifications

In addition you will hold Security Clearance

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be up to date with relevant industry standards - IASME, Cyber essentials scheme
- Assess clients on Cyber Essentials self certification submissions
- Independently asses clients to Cyber Essentials Plus standard
- Review of access controls, computer configuration, Active Directory and system group policies
- Perform vulnerability assessments on systems, networks and websites using automated scanning tools and other network discovery and analysis tools
- Prepare and present written and oral reports and other technical information in a pertinent, concise, and accurate manner for distribution to clients
- Provide proactive advice to clients on good security practices
- Perform Management tasks for the technical team, such as conducting employee reviews, training new staff and apprentices and distributing work to the team

**Technical skills**

You will have excellent knowledge of one or more of the following areas:

- IT networks, anti-malware technologies, security concepts, encryption, access controls and configuration management
- Reviewing technical controls around Active Directory, Group Policies, Software patches
- Deep technical knowledge of hacking, pen testing techniques, methodologies and tools across all common platforms
- Understanding of the foundations of information and cyber security, assurance, risk and threat management, incident response

**Essential Professional Skills**
- Demonstrable experience of managing a team
- Able to gather data, compile information and prepare professional reports
- Able to communicate with and understand the requirements of clients
- Fluency in written communication and able to articulate complex issues in plain language
- Flexible attitude and able to work under pressure
