**Day or Night Care Assistant - New to Care OR Experienced applicants welcome**

**8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am**

We can offer 22, 33 or 44 hours per week, with the option of overtime.

£9.15 - £9.66 per hour depending on shifts and qualifications.

**All colleagues are required to work alternate weekends**

What you’ll be doing
Being a Care Assistant doesn’t just mean helping residents to remain as active and independent as possible while respecting their rights of choice, privacy and dignity. It means having fun and laughter with them and using your skills to help them deal withday-to-day difficulties like personal care and meal times. It also means working as part of a team to identify their unique goals and implement personalised care plans. And, it means working flexibly to help them explore new interests, engage in physical exerciseand activities and make sure they enjoy themselves in a stimulating and homely environment. Put simply, it means making a difference. A real difference.

What you’ll need
Experience of caring for others would be useful, not necessarily in a paid role - you may have looked after an elderly relative or friend. More important though is your kind-hearted nature, your belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiativeand imagination, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload. You’ll be comfortable talking to, and working with, people from different professions, you’re great at keeping records too. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives ofothers more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.

Where you'll work

**The newly opened Priors House care home in Leamington Spa sets a new standard in 24-hour residential and nursing care for older people in the Warwickshire area.**

The brand new, purpose-built care home is in Blackdown, just north of Leamington Spa and it provides a wide range of quality care services under one roof.

As well as delivering residential and nursing care services, the experienced team also provide short term respite care (minimum two-week stay) plus expert care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The team also provides the verybest in palliative care and end of life care. Offering such a wide range of care means that our compassionate and highly trained team is able to care for your loved one as their needs change.
