**We are now looking to hire an Apprentice Mechanic for our site based in Rochester area (ME3).**

**As an Apprentice, the BCA UK Academy will support you on your journey. Throughout your apprentice program, the Academy will offer various employment-based skills workshops, additional technical training and events to attend with your fellow apprentices. Additionally, you will be supported by Workshop manager, supervisors, team leaders and the rest of the mechanical team**

**Within this apprenticeship, you will develop your skills over the period of the apprenticeship to become fully skilled Autocare Technician.**

**Shift: 4on 4off 6:00-18:00**

**Salary**: £21,869.00 per annum

**What you’ll be doing.**
- Inspection of the mechanical systems on a vehicle against set criteria
- Carrying out routine maintenance operations on vehicles
- Completing repairs to braking systems
- Removing and fitting wheels and tyres
- Preparation of vehicles for MOT inspection

**During your time in the role, you will receive training onsite and with an external partner to enable you to**:

- Basic testing of components to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Inspection of Electric and hybrid vehicles against set criteria
- Identification of faults on complex systems and reporting them for further investigation

**Who you are.**
- A keen desire to learn and motivation to continually develop will be essential to this role
- GCSE equivalent to Grade 3 in Maths & English
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred due to the remote location of this role)
- Eligible to work in the UK
