**Arconic Kitts Green** is currently has an opportunity for the role of **Operator Maintainers** to support the site and process. They would join the team at **C2 level (Craftsperson Level 2) **and work with **both Maintenance and Production departments **where they would develop and build their skill and knowledge base.

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Work on a split basis, work between Maintenance and Production (Approx. 60:40).
- Attend all machine breakdowns within your area.
- Have a good understanding of fault finding methodology.
- Development of skills and knowledge of the KG machinery and process.
- Participate in Planned Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and Refurbishment of spare parts.
- Support the Area Maintenance Crew where required.

**Key Objectives**
- Work towards understand all Mechanical Principles and a good understanding of plant processes.
- A good grasp and understanding of mechanical workings.
- Work safely and have a good understanding of all EHS requirements.
- Ensure you work in a safe manner and comply with all polices.
- To engage in projects/activities as required.
- To assist in improving Plant and equipment “up-time”.
- Responsibility for all aspects of maintenance (Planned Maintenance/Corrective Maintenance/Reactive Maintenance/etc).
- To have a good competency of IT usage i.e. Microsoft Word and internal systems.
- To be capable of working with contractors and on-site personnel.
- Attention to detail.
- To be able to work within a team or on your own.
- Support area maintenance teams with issues and breakdowns.
- Proactive approach and be self-motivated to achieve goals and targets.
- Have a knowledge of hydraulics/drive systems/etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

**Basic Qualifications**
- Mechanical time served apprenticeship to minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience or a strong desire to work within a manufacturing/production environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within and to deadlines and under pressure to achieve goals.
- Ability to work with others (at all levels of the organization) and have a positive “can do” attitude.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Technical knowledge within the areas of heavy engineering and fast paced production environments.
- Ability to analyze technically complex problems and develop the most appropriate solutions.
- Prior experience within an industrial industry process/operation is desirable.
