**Role Responsibility**:
Reporting to the Production Manager the successful **Shift **Operative** will be responsible for operating the Plant & Equipment at the site to ensure budgeted targets are met or exceeded, whilst complying with company and legislative SHE and Quality Policies and procedures.

The role will also include carrying out of daily production data reporting, and operator preventative maintenance tasks.

You will also take responsibility for:

- Ensuring that Health & Safety rules are adhered to and deliver safety/operational performance targets.
- Comply with all Tarmac Building Products Policies & Procedures.
- Supporting continuous improvement of process, plant and production.
- Effective completion of operator preventative maintenance tasks
- Balancing the time covering operation and cleaning of the production line.
- Building working relationships with other production and maintenance personnel.
- Good time keeping and Flexibility.
- Ensure products of high quality are efficiently produced.

To be successful in the role of **Operative **you will ideally have experience within a similar role and working environment. You will also:

- FLT counterbalance experience up to 12T would be advantageous/preferable
- Ideally have experience of working within an RMX plant (ideal not essential)
- Have experience of operating a wheel loader and must possess a wheel loader license
- Be organised and have excellent communication skills
- Be motivated
- Be flexible in your working approach
- Be willing to work independently and as part of a team
- Possess good communication skills and be numerate
- Be a proficient communicator
- Be a good team player
- Have experience of manual handling
