- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling products to enhance their experience.
- Handle customer transactions accurately using basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the deli section during peak hours.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure availability of fresh products.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is highly desirable.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards helping customers.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
