- We are excited to announce we are recruiting within our Senior Management team (SMT) for an Assistant Head (Lower School). This is a key role in the leading and organising the day-to-day life of pupils in Years 3 to 5 whilst contributing to the management of the whole school through the SMT. This role is integral to Winchester House school’s development for the future, ensuring our continual drive for excellence each step of the way.
You will provide strong line management and leadership to your team and act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead providing day to day pastoral support to the Lower School. You will organise Lower School events and manage Lower School tutor groups.
We are looking for a qualified teacher with leadership experience, knowledge of Key Stage 2 curriculum, and the ability to motivate both pupils and colleagues. Calm, collaborative, positive and flexible, you’ll be ready to set the pace for excellence. You will have strong communication skills and pride yourself on professional integrity. You will have an enthusiasm for the holistic education that a Prep School education should provide, ensuring the needs of the pupil always come first.We are looking for the role to start in January or April 2026The Stowe Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
