Central to achieving this is our **Operations & Maintenance Assistant**, who plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of our coffee shops and their high standard of maintenance. **This is a multifaceted position which entails**: - Provide operational & maintenance support to ensure the smooth running of two Coffee outlets in Hereford daily. - Ensure the safe transportation, handling, and security of company equipment and stock. - Responding promptly to repair requests and issues with equipment and facilities. - Maintain high standards of presentation and service at the Coffee Cart Company. - Perform equipment maintenance and handle small repairs as needed. - Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. - Supporting with general tasks when required such as administrative tasks, running errands, responding to customers, and generally being part of the team. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a hands-on approach and a practical mindset, who thrives on variety and is comfortable working both outdoors and in a warehouse, depending on the task at hand. You'll need to be self-motivated, responsible, with excellent timekeeping skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. Given the nature of the role, lifting stock, furniture, and equipment is essential, so a good level of fitness and comfort with manual handling are musts. A practical "hands-on" approach, coupled with a "can-do" attitude, will be key to thriving in this role. Your ability to work in a methodical and organised manner, while adhering to rules and procedures, will ensure smooth operations and contribute to the overall success and smooth running of the daily operations. This role also requires flexibility and a willingness to do whatever is necessary to support the team. **Main Duties** **Hereford Logistical Support**: - Pick and deliver company stock and equipment to outlets following company procedures. - Assist the Operations Manager with daily operational requirements at the depot and Coffee Shops. - Load/unload stock, furniture, and equipment on/off company vehicles. **Warehouse Support**: - Receive and book in deliveries - Maintaining an efficient and clean workplace **Events Logistical Support**: The Operations Assistant is a pivotal role in the setup of our temporary pop-up Coffee Shops at several events throughout the year. These events are crucial opportunities for us to connect with customers and showcase our offerings in vibrant settings. **Role at Events include**: - Set up and dismantle coffee bar equipment at events following company operational systems and procedures. - Handle all operational activities during event trading days, including: - Picking and loading event support vehicles prior to an event. - Preparing trailers and support vehicles for forthcoming events. - Transporting staff, stock, and equipment to and from events. - Post-event breakdown and transportation from events. **Responsibilities across all locations**: - Conduct routine maintenance and general upkeep tasks - Minor fixes such as repairing broken locks filling gaps on walls etc. - Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues - Assisting with installing appliances and equipment when required - Maintaining event and coffee shop furniture - Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems - Collaborating with duty managers to ensure repairs and fixes are done quickly and efficiently at each location - Assisting with deep cleans - Report to the Operations Manager **Personal requirements**: - Full clean driving licences with 3.5 tonne van experience (essential) - Forklift licence (desirable but not essential) - Comfortable with manual handling - Seasonal weekend availability **Benefits**: - 28 days holiday, plus your Birthday off - Company Pension - Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company. - Employee discounts on company products. - Dynamic and supportive work environment with regular team lunch and social events **Join us as a Coffee Shop Operations Assistant and be a part of our dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional coffee experiences and driving business success** **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company events - Company pension - Employee discount - Free parking - On-site parking - Store discount Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Work Location: In person Reference ID: Operations Assistant September 2024
