Vehicle Inspector

**About Us**:
Castleview Cars is a leading independent car dealership, renowned for supplying high-quality vehicles and delivering an exceptional customer experience. We are currently expanding our operations and looking for a dedicated Vehicle Inspection Specialist to join our team at our Windsor site.

**The Role**:
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with strong mechanical knowledge and an excellent driving record. The primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough inspections of newly acquired vehicles, using both diagnostic tools and hands-on assessments. You will be required to upload detailed inspection reports onto our internal system to allow for seamless scheduling of any required repair or preparation works.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections upon arrival, identifying mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues.
- Use diagnostic machines and manual checks (sight, smell, sound, feel) to assess vehicle condition.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and upload findings onto an app-based system.
- Work closely with the workshop and preparation teams to ensure accurate task allocation.
- Carry out test drives to verify performance and safety.
- Ensure all vehicles meet company and industry standards before being listed for sale.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all inspections and findings.

**Requirements**:

- Strong mechanical knowledge, either through formal training or extensive hands-on experience.
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience driving various types of vehicles.
- Confidence in using vehicle diagnostic equipment and manual inspection methods.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.

**Preferred Qualifications (not essential)**:

- Formal mechanical or automotive qualifications (e.g., IMI, NVQ Level 2/3).
- Previous experience in a dealership, inspection, or automotive technician role.

**Working Hours**:

- Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (with one day off during the week)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
