We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person who loves providing great customer service t join our team. You will be based at both our Quaker Friars and Wapping Wharf stores for 16- 32 hours per week.

Staff must be able to work during the week and at weekends. Applicants must also be able to learn computer software and have good written English as we work with IT systems for our internet orders. Good retail experience is essential.

Fig1 is a vibrant business and is growing rapidly. As such we need staff who are self starters and can take initiative. We like everyone to be part of the team and an interest in interiors is a bonus.

Applicants should have at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths grade C (or equivalent) or above.

Fig1 was founded in 2007 to bring services back to Totterdown. Fig1 moved location to Wapping Wharf, Bristol in December 2016. Over 15 years of business Fig1 has developed great links with various suppliers. We have many connections within our local creative community and with suppliers here and abroad. We are one of the largest UK independent retailers for Danish brand Rice and are a key stockist for UK fair trade and design company Nkuku. We are a living wage employer and are looking for people to join us in promoting our business as it grows and changes

Great people skills are essential - you should enjoy chatting to people and interacting with them. We’re a friendly company and we love to welcome people to our shop as if we’re welcoming them to our home.
- Retail sales experience is essential
- Good written and spoken English
- Visual creativity - staff need to arrange displays and make them look inviting to customers. You won’t be expected to do this without help but you will need an aptitude and a love for visual creativity.
- Self management skills - fig1 is a small business and what we do is changing and growing all the time. Staff need to organise themselves and keep on top of tasks set and communicate ongoing tasks to staff on other shifts. You should be organised and good at timekeeping.

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
