Here at Johnnie Johnson Housing, we are now looking for a Community Housing Officer - Independent Living.

As Community Housing Officer - Independent Living, you will provide a highly visible community-based service, engaging with residents on a day-to-day basis, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and priorities and developing outcome focused action plans that meet their aspirations. You’ll respond to residents’ queries and feedback in a timely manner, always striving to improve customer satisfaction. Using your knowledge of housing management, including voids, lettings, income collection, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy management, you’ll deliver a responsive and sensitive service to those who are at risk, making referrals where appropriate to relevant agencies. You will support the development of sustainable communities so that residents live, grow and thrive, together through the delivery of outstanding customer service, community engagement and health and wellbeing activities.

Our Team

Our team is really lovely (if we don’t mind saying so ourselves). You’ll join our team of Community Housing Officers, who are all passionate about delivering outstanding services to customers, as well as working with likeminded people, you will use the most recent up to date technology. We don’t just provide support to our customers, we support each other too. We work incredibly hard, but we also like to have fun

We’ve adopted a completely agile way of working meaning you can work from home too. As long as our residents and customers are put first, we’ll also give you a degree of flexibility using our ‘My Lifestyle’ guidelines, meaning you can attend the important things in life. So, whether you’ve got a gym class you’d love to attend, your child’s school play or maybe it’s just that you’ve got a new fridge being delivered, we will work with you to be flexible

We also offer a fantastic holiday allowance of 33 days per annum (including statutory holidays) which rises to 38 days after 5 years’ service (pro-rata for fixed term contracts).
