**Senior Data Solution Architect**
**City of London**
**£125,000 per annum**
A global speciality Insurance business in London currently recruit for a Senior Data Solution Architect.
They are developing an enterprise wide data and digital strategy to move toward focus on use of data and data driven insights. You will be hands-on, executing to help translate the data and digital strategy to architect and to execute. In this role you willhave an understanding of the data and analytical systems at granular level and organisational data and digital architecture SME for various projects.
You will be the expert in Discrete Data, API and Modular Design to help guide solutions for: distributed, domain-driven, event driven and micro services data architectures; enterprise and canonical data models for data domains and events; mediating event, APIand micro services communication; reusable common data and digital services (e.g. document management, OCR, NLP, search); and internal and external consumption of the API's and personalised experiences.
Key responsibilities:

- Understand user requirements (desired output & outcome) and existing environments (current state), and translate these into an architecture and road map
- Collaborate with customers, analysts, other architects, modelers, developers, testers, partners and vendors
- Understand the Business Capabilities that are required and translate this to Technical Capabilities and Solution Architecture
- Assist the customer to define and declare non-functional requirements for building out solution capabilities
- Design the architecture and solutions to meet business requirements in a manner that balances architectural standards, and implementation and operational risks, with restricted parameters such as budget and time
- Lead design reviews (pre-development) and implementation reviews (post-development) to ensure principles and standards are followed, and that technical debt is managed
- Document data flow and storage mechanisms and provide examples to data developers when necessary
- Ensure the future-state solutions have been fully vetted, are performant and scalable, enable agility, can be supported, are cost effective and highly available, and meet the robust needs of the business
- Provide best-practice knowledge, reference architecture and patterns for sharing
Key Skills/Experience:

- Lead or manage large, long term or complex projects
- Experience in relevant data architecture roles
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
Hands-on experience with architecting, implementing, and performance tuning of:

- Azure cloud platform environment
- Data Lake technologies (e.g., Delta Lake, Parquet, Spark, HDFS, Hive)
- Relational databases and structured query languages
- NoSQL databases and query languages
- Message queues, streaming technologies, and event driven architecture
- Microservices
- Integration and ETL/ELT technologies
- Data models and semantic layers
- BI tools and techniques
- Reference & Master Data Management
- Metadata management and data governance
- Data access control and security
- Data science tools and Python or R code
- AI and ML Ops
