Phoenix55 Fostering Service is a small business in St. Asaph. We are professional, agile, inclusive, and our goal is to As foster parents ourselves we want the best. This means our values and ethos reflect our work, mission and purpose. We aim to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people supported by our service, treat foster parents as professionals and individuals, valuing their experience and knowledge. We aim to get matching correct at the start to ensure young people and children aren’t moved on therefore reducing trauma and stress to them and the foster parents. We will be transparent, honest and trustful. Ensuring that the teams around the children, young people and foster parents keep in mind it takes a village to raise a child. We will always have at the forefront of our practice that the children and young people we support are the next generation and we have do right by them and get it right for them..

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure that children are provided with a secure and caring atmosphere.
- Ensure that the children's physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
- Create a stable and supportive home environment
- Work together with social workers and other professionals to ensure the well-being of children and their individual needs are being met.
- Advocate for the best interests of the children.
- Attend relevant training sessions and meetings so you can be the best you can be within your role.
Being a foster parent is a unique and important role, and one which we want to promote as a profession by offering qualifications and of course up to date and relevant training that enables you to undertake your role to the best of your ability. As a Foster Parent, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in need. This role requires dedication, compassion, and a commitment to providing a loving home environment. If you have experience working with children and are passionate about making a difference, we encourage you to apply.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working with children, such as childcare, teaching, or counseling, is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed care is a plus but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with children of different ages and backgrounds
- Patience, empathy, and understanding in dealing with challenging behaviors or emotions
