This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of The Sugar Snap Kitchen team, leading one of our sites. Taking responsibility for serving great coffee, freshly cooked food and building a loyal customer base through great service and communication. Duties will include running an established and well-equipped kitchen and coffee shop, leading the team, ensuring excellent customer service, upholding our standards and values, and helping build a great environment and reputation.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Act as a team leader by coaching and supporting the team to deliver their role proficiently, whilst ensuring all procedures are followed
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, being accountable to the Social Enterprise Lead
- Organise monthly rotas in conjunction with the Social Enterprise Lead
- Quality control of dishes sent out from the kitchen, making sure we are providing consistency in portions and standards
- Maintain the operational standards of the kitchen at the existing 5 star hygiene standard
- Maintain accurate stock levels and ensuring all on-site stock is stored appropriately
- Placing daily/weekly orders with established suppliers
- Plan and deliver internal and external catering events
- Support placement volunteers in their training
- Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café, making sure the daily and monthly cleaning rotas and other records are completed
- Maintain excellent communication with customers using PowerPoint TV displays and internal communication software.
- Report any maintenance issues that occur
- Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures
- Participate in regular check-ins with the Social Enterprise Lead/CEO providing prepared updates on business activities and agreed KPI's.
- To attend team meetings and training days

- Previous team leader experience in a fast-paced environment is essential. Trained to Barista standard would be advantageous.
- Have demonstrable experience of training, motivating and supporting teams.
- Be knowledgeable about the requirements of a busy café including health and safety/food hygiene regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to embrace challenges
- Be flexible to work a range of hours
