**Systems Engineer**

**UK Wide - Portsmouth, Bristol, Farnborough, Remote/Hybrid on offer**

**£30,000 - £55,000**

**Brief**

Systems Engineer needed for a leading defence and security organisation with offices across the UK such as Portsmouth, Bristol, Farnborough who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Systems Engineer that takes pride in their work.

Multiple levels are available from junior to principal.

**What the role entails**:
**Some of the main duties of theSystems Engineer** **will include**:

- Working independently under limited technical direction across a range of products and services, resolving common engineering problems
- Discerning and decomposing requirements to system and sub-system level and manage these in an approved toolset such as IBM DOORS
- Providing, reviewing, and adhering to specifications in accordance with stakeholder requirements
- Undertaking system design and modelling to subsystem level including associated external and internal interfaces and manage such models in an approved toolset such as Cameo
- Undertaking system integration, test planning and execution
- Undertaking technical reviews, verification and approval of engineering technical documentation and design in accordance with business, legislative and customer requirements
- Providing technical guidance to immediate team

**What experience you need to be the successfulSystems Engineer**:

- Understands engineering principles
- Demonstrates understanding, knowledge, and experience of systems engineering
- Experience of some aspects of an engineering lifecycle
- Experience of presenting both technical and non-technical information in a formal setting
- Experience of Requirements Management and systems engineering modelling toolsets
- Knowledge of the defence or aerospace industry is desirable
- Ideally have experience of using a high-level design methodology
- Further education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent experience
- Achieved or be in the final stages of achieving Chartered Engineer status and/or working towards relevant professional accreditation certification is desirable
