Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications:
**Skill / Knowledge**:

- Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance
- Refrigeration knowledge/experience
- Ammonia knowledge
- Warehouse/Distribution knowledge/experience
- Computer knowledge, Windows, Excel, cloud-based maintenance software
- Formal Supervisor training

**Qualifications **_(i.e. critical requirement to perform the role)_
- NVQ, BTEC, NNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 17th/18th Edition Qualified - desirable
- IOSH Managing safety.

**Responsibilities**:

- To assist the Engineering Manager with the daily function of running the Maintenance department. Dealing with mechanical and electrical planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Issue out daily tasks, prioritising and planning individual workloads, via a Maintenance software platform.
- To assist the Engineering manager to maintain site compliance in accordance with the HSE Regulations covering Legionella, Dsear, Loler, Puwer and COSHH.
- Control and supervise external contractors to ensure Americold H&S policies are always met and adhered to.
- Ensure the department’s risk assessments and SOPs are updated and compliant.
- Drive KPI targets through continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
- Assess individual training needs and implement development plans for each team member.
- Monitor and control weekly Inventory and stock levels, ordering critical spares whilst staying within budgetary restraints.
- Strive for Energy excellence, driving the team to develop and focus on best practices.
- Provide Technical and mentoring support to the Maintenance team.
- A hands-on approach is required when necessary.
- Deal with Disciplinary’s, grievances and any unacceptable behavior within the team.

**Working Hours**

6am - 6pm, 4 on 4 off rotation
