Grain Store Trainee

**The Company**
Camgrain Stores Limited is the UK’s largest farmer-owned grain storage co-operative. We provide seamless supply-chain integration for our farmer-members from combine to the end user through our four strategically positioned, Advanced Processing Centres (APC’s) across Central England.
**The Role**
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our diverse team as a Grain Store Trainee for our Cambridge site. Reporting to the Store Manager, the successful applicant will be fully trained in the operation of the Control room, ensuring facilities are utilised for fast and accurate loading and unloading. Fast progression will be available for anyone that can learn quickly and is willing to push themselves.
**The Individual**
**Duties to include (full training provided)**.
- Monitoring and safely controlling grain movements on site.
- Ensuring the Control Panel is updated at all times.
- Monitoring grain in Silos and Flat Stores including temperature/contamination/quality/insects.
- Meet deadlines of set tasks from Operations Manager or Store Manager.
- Undertaking stock level checks when requested.
- Operating Mobile Plant in a safe manner (when appropriate training has been completed).
- Undertake loading and unloading activities to meet the required specification.
- Operating grain driers safely and efficiently.
- Operating the control panel and LV fans in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assisting with any maintenance when required.
- Carrying out housekeeping ensuring that the site is kept to a high standard at all times.
**Requirements**:
**Desirable**
- Previous experience in a busy position
- Previous experience in agricultural field.
- Knowledge of grain handling machines and equipment.
- A can do and positive attitude towards all work and challenges.
- Ability to constantly work towards and meet deadlines.
- A flexible approach and willingness to undertake extra hours during busy periods.
- High level of pride and attention to detail.
- Able to work at heights.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently alone and as a team player.
- Able to work well under pressure.
This role is a permanent full-time position with some additional hours, occasional weekends and night shifts, so you will need to have a flexible approach to work.

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.00 per hour
