We have an exciting opportunity for a General Assistant to join our team to work alongside the organisations Head Chef. This role will help to maintain high standards of food quality and assist in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services.

Key responsibilities will include simple food preparation - ensuring that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times, general cleaning duties, and supporting meal delivery while adhering to food hygiene standards.

**General Catering Assistant**

**Job Purpose**

Supporting the Head Chef delivering consistently high-quality food and handling purchase orders. Work with the team to provide catering services to Patients, Visitors and staff according to their needs, ensuring that food hygiene standards are maintained.

**Key Tasks**
- Simple daily food preparation and duties assigned by the Head Chef/Chef on Duty to meet the standard and the quality set by the Hospice.
- General Cleaning duties
- Ensure food is produced on time, consistently and accurately.
- Follow the instructions from the Head Chef/Chef on Duty to complete tasks.
- Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
- Follow health codes and cleanliness standards in the food storage areas and kitchen.
- Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly date organised for quality assurance.
- Operate and maintain all department equip
