**Security Officer - Leeds, LS1**

We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Security Officer to join our team at a bustling shopping centre located in Leeds, LS1.

**Job Role**: Security Officer
**Location**: Leeds, LS1
**Working Hours**: Days (05:45-17:45) or Nights (17:45-05:45)
**License Requirement**: SIA Door Supervisor Licence or SIA Security Guarding Licence

**Pay Rate**:£12.50 p/h

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a visible presence within the shopping centre, ensuring the safety and security of customers, staff, and premises.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and respond promptly to any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with queries, directions, and general support.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and other workers, fostering a cooperative and positive working environment.
- Conduct regular patrols to deter theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
- Respond efficiently to emergency situations, following established protocols and taking appropriate action.
- Complete accurate incident reports, documenting any notable occurrences or security-related issues.
- Enforce access control measures, verifying the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
- Assist with crowd management during peak times, ensuring a safe and orderly flow of people.
- Stay updated on relevant security procedures, regulations, and best practices.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or SIA Security Guarding Licence is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Strong observation and problem-solving abilities, capable of making quick and sound decisions under pressure.
- A professional and customer-oriented approach, with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Physical fitness and resilience, as the role may involve standing, walking, and occasional lifting or carrying.
- A high level of integrity and ethical conduct, understanding the importance of confidentiality and discretion.
- Flexibility to work either days or nights, as per the assigned shift schedule.
