Workshop Supervisor

MJ Church Ltd are looking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor to join the Transport Department based out of our Head Office, Marshfield Nr Chippenham Wiltshire.

This role will be full time on a permanent basis.
- Prioritise work where needed i.e. Low Loaders/Trade waste, outside vehicles.
- Assign work to all technicians including job cards and defect sheets
- Ensure productivity is maximised and deadlines adhered to.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard by quality checking & auditing.
- Ensure all Inspection paper work is fully completed and signed off.
- Ensure all vehicle defect paperwork is fully completed and signed off.
- Ensure all VOR vehicles have VOR boards in and keys locked in VOR box.
- Report all VOR’s and update the VOR board.
- Ensure workshop area is kept clean and tidy, with equipment in the correct place. During and after shift.
- Report and take out of service any broken workshop equipment and liaise with workshop manager on time frames of completion.
- Ensure all Jobs are completed in a timely manner and if not understand why and report to workshop manager.
- Ensure all regulatory H&S regulations are adhered to and checks are carried out.
- Ensure all M J Church policies are followed.
- Lead by example developing a culture of continuous improvement.
- When parking up vehicles after maintenance park in a courteous manner.
- Report and document any driver defect or damage that have not been notified.

**In the absence of workshop manager.**
- Manage breakdowns and 3rd parties
- Ensure parts are ordered and added to the vehicle through Syrinx
- Liaise with other departments to ensure vehicles arrive for inspections and repairs.
- Ensure **all** paper work is checked & fully completed.

Hourly rate + company van.
