**Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training** **Q - **Are you a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience ahead of a Masters or similar? **Q -** Are you looking for an opportunity to work alongside Therapists & more? - If so, EdEx may have the perfect Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training opportunity for you, read on below to find out more_ EdEx are exclusively working with a mainstream secondary school in Hackney (East London) to find x2 Teaching Assistants _(Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training) _to work in the schools Speech, Communication and Language provision, supporting children with various needs including Speech and Language, Communication, Social, Autism (Verbal and Non-Verbal) needs & more **What makes this Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training opportunity exciting?** - Opportunity to take part and lead specialist interventions in; Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, Zones of Regulation & more - Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists & Psychologists to best support secondary aged pupils with various needs - Receive training and support from day one - with no day being the same, working across Key Stage 3 - Key Stage 5 - Support various students with wide-ranging needs 1-2-1 and in small groups, inside and outside of the classrooms **What experience will you need to do these Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training roles?** - Good A-Levels and GCSEs - including English at GCSE - Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents - Essential- This can be tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience- ** Note**: If you're not sure you qualify, apply James at EdEx will be in touch if shortlisted - A genuine passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning - An inquisitive, warm and nurturing personality - Must be able to speak confidently and calmly - personality is everything in these roles **SCHOOL DETAILS - Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training**: - A highly-regarded mainstream secondary school in Hackney (East London) - 11-18 year olds (KS3-KS5) - Part of a well-funded and well-resourced Trust of schools - with lofty ambitions for their pupils - Heavily invested into the local community - Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team are exceptional - no student is left behind at this school - A specialist "Resourced Provision" for students with Speech, Language and Communication needs - The school are passionate about supporting students pastorally, with a highly regarded rewards system that is praised across the borough **ROLE DETAILS - Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training**: - Teaching Assistant - Supporting various needs and SP&L - Monday to Friday - No weekends - School Hours - typically 8:30am - 4:00pm - £105 - £110 per day - paid weekly (Term Time Only) - ASAP Starts - Long term contract - at least for an academic year - Sept 24 - July 25 (scope for a permanent contract if interested from Sept 25) - Fantastic training, support and professional development **_ James at EdEx will be in touch within 24 hours if shortlisted.
