**Security Design Consultant** - £650 - £700p/d Umbrella Only - 6 months - ASAP - Remote - ad hoc office time My client, a leading specialist financial services company based in Hampshire are actively looking for a Security Design Consultant to join them on an initial 6 month contract basis. Within this role you will be responsible for embedding security by designacross a wide variety of projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring security is designed into the project and will have ideally done something similar in a previous contract role. **Role Responsibilities** As the Information Security Design Consultant, you'll need to: - To provide consultation to projects and general enquiries for the specification of functional and non-functional controls to be delivered. - To investigate and provide security solutions using business analysis criteria. - To deliver technical and risk-based reports and official papers relating to test findings, aligned to an agreed framework. - To successfully manage meetings with IT departments to fix specific security problems. - To give supervision and guidance to technical delivery teams. - Provide consultation to any changes required for the security risk register. - Assist with internal and external audits relating to information security with customers and suppliers. - Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments. - Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them. **Skills / Knowledge & Experience** - Proven previous contract experience of working within a similar Security Design Consultant position - Strong experience of embedding security by design into projects and good project assurance experience - Analytical and interpretative abilities to transpose requirements into manageable deliverables - Strong documentation skills - Strong communicator and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organisation - Self-starter with a "can do" attitude, able to work independently - The ability to plan and manage own workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines - including the ability to manage multiple ongoing engagements - Solution based thinker - excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
