Due to their continued growth they have permanent staff opportunities for Fracture/Fatigue Engineers to join their team Sutton, London. You will be responsible for delivering fit for purpose rigid pipeline installation analysis to projects and/or tenderssupported by the team with specific focus on safe and cost effective installation operations.

The Fracture/Fatigue Engineers sit within the Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) team and are responsible for carrying out assessments on pipelines specifically around fracture mechanics and fatigue based welding, ensuring accordance with industry codesand standards, design guides, client specifications and scopes of work.

The role

Lead project ECA activities and assess required resource adjustments.

Conduct advanced 3D finite element analyses associated with subsea pipeline installation engineering.

Write technical project documents.

Perform checking of analysis work of peer ECA analyst.

Interface with other engineering disciplines (material and welding, installation and pipeline design engineering) client and 3rd party.

Manage internal R&D study and engineering improvement projects as assigned.

Provide ECA engineering support to Concept study, Tendering and FEED study execution.

Consolidate group experience in discipline.

Mentors and nurtures junior analyst.

Actively participate in relevant training to pursue continuing professional development.

Your background

You will have relevant experience working within a similar role, with a track record in fracture mechanics and fatigue assessment of welding

You should be proficient with Abaqus for 3D FE modelling

You should have a strong knowledge of relevant structural integrity assessment codes, i.e. Bs7910, DNV, API, etc)

You will have excellent report writing skills with the ability to produce accurate work, as well as the ability to prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management

You will be highly motivated and be able to show a demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality

You should have a commitment to Continuing Professional Development
