**About the role**
Join our hardworking team at Gansey as a Senior Social Care Worker, where you will take a lead role with the provision of care and support to people living with Dementia.
Gansey is one of five homes within Dementia Care & Support Service (Gansey, Bradda, Reayrt Skyal, Sweetbriar and Thie Meanagh). Gansey is a 12 bedded Residential Home in the South of the Island. The aim of our home is to provide service users with a fulfilled life, enabling them to live as independently as possible with privacy, dignity and the opportunity to make their own choices and decisions within a care home setting.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include; leading a shift on a daily basis, which includes supporting, educating, supervising and deploying staff, keeping knowledge of all residents in the home up to date, including developing, updating, auditing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments and progress notes and leading with governance initiatives, including standard setting, appraisal, audits and complaint management. Within this role, you will be required to work shifts, including night shifts, on a rotational basis.
