Our client is a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to providing an exceptional learning environment for all students with Education Health Care Plans. They pride themselves on their supportive community, where each staff member is valued for their contribution to the success and well-being of their pupils.
**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
- Support students with personal care needs, as required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to deliver tailored educational support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with mild to profound educational needs.
- Experience with personal care is highly desirable.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
