Job Title: Stock Controller/Procurement Specialist - Maintenance & Construction

Location: Canary Wharf, London

**Salary**: £35k-40k (depending on experience)

About Us

We are a maintenance and construction company, responsible for maintaining, repairing and refurbishing a portfolio of Landlord properties. We are looking for a Stock Controller/Procurement Specialist to handle material ordering, procurement and stock control. You will work closely with the Maintenance and Administration teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
-      Sourcing materials, creating purchase orders and managing the purchasing process for maintenance and refurbishment projects.
- Collaborating with the Maintenance and Administration teams to ensure timely ordering and availability of materials.
-      Addressing supply issues proactively to keep projects/jobs on track.
-      Communicating with suppliers and internal teams to streamline procurement processes.
-      Ensuring materials meet specifications and are delivered on time.
-      Building strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and prices.
-      Maintaining and organising stock rooms for efficient material availability.
-      Conducting quarterly stock takes and updating stock records.
-      Creating & Implementing processes to improve stock control.
-      Allocating costs to specific projects/jobs.
- Analysing data to identify trends and gaps and preparing reports.
-      Sourcing new suppliers.

Skills and experience
-      Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
-      Proven experience in procurement/buying and material ordering in the maintenance or construction industry.
-      Knowledge of construction materials, tools and equipment.
-      Experience with stock control and inventory management.
-      Ability to negotiate terms and supplier agreements.
-      Strong knowledge/skills for cost allocation and reporting.
-      Time management skills.
-      Problem-solving and abilities to support the team.

Working Hours
- Full time role, based in the office. - Mon-Fri (8am to 5pm)
- Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Compensation Package
- Annual Leave 28 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
- Five percent Employer Pension Contribution. Employee referral scheme bonus. Compatible Salary package.
