We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy Team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B / C prison located on the Isle of Wight.

This is a part time role, with no nights or weekends You will be joining a Pharmacy Team of 13, and an overall healthcare team of 50. This is a fantastic entry route into a Pharmacy in a unique environment, with lots of opportunities for training and career development

**Hours**:
You will be working 20 hours per week. with shifts falling between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We can be flexible on your shift pattern.

**Salary**:
This position is part time, and you’ll receive an annual salary of up to £24,500**_ _**per annum FTE - depending on experience.

**What you'll be doing**:
As our new Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

- Provide high quality support to the supply, preparation and assembly of medicines under the direction of the responsible Pharmacist
- Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines
- Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
- Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals

- Ideally have experience within a Pharmacy environment (such as community or hospital based), but this isn't essential

- Have a keen interest in Pharmacy work
