**Multi-Trade Operative**- Joiner/Plumber**

**Chester**

**£34,376 - £36,185 per year**

**40 hours per week**

We are looking for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Day to Day team based in the Northwest. Working as part of a team carrying out repairs and maintenance to domestic dwellings. You will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs to properties, ranging from a leaking tap to changing baths, changing a door handle to hanging a new door. The team also carry out external repairs including fencing and groundworks.

The role will include lone and team working, and you will also be required to be on an emergency call out rota. A company van and power tools will be provided for business use along with training as and when needed.

**The role of Multi-Trade Operative**will include**:

- Attending vacant properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties within Social Housing
- Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works
- Providing out of hours cover via a call out rota

**Skills and experiences**:

- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within social housing is advantageous
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Additional skills in some of the following disciplines - plumbing, Joinery, carpentry and plastering would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of the health and safety regulations
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
