We are looking to recruit a **MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER/SEMI-SKILLED LABOURER** to work from their industrial site based in **EASTLEIGH, SO50.**
Responsibilities of a **MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER/SEMI-SKILLED LABOURER**:
- We have a unique opportunity for a mechanical assembler/semi-skilled labourer to work at a high voltage testing lab within an industrial site.
- Duties would including supporting engineer to set up testing labs.
- Working within the factory to support maintenance team when required.
- Lifting and shifting of large heavy cables around the yard to be tested.
- Stripping and breaking down of large heavy cables for disposal.
- Grinding, welding and cutting material when required.
- Working at heights on mobile cranes as and when required.
- General yard and factory duties that may vary day to day based on requirements.
Requirements of a **MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER/SEMI-SKILLED LABOURER**:
- ** Forklift experience essential **(Licence preferred but not required)
- ** IPAF licence preferred **but not essential.
- Must be happy to work at heights on cherry pickers/scissor lifts, etc (up to 20 metres)
- Physically fit as manual handling will be involved
- Punctual and can work in a team to meet deadlines
- Looking for someone who wants to learn and develop within the company to create a career
- ** Drivers licence would be preferable** due to remote working location
- **Previous electrical experience** would be ideal.
**Salary**: £13.25 ph starting salary. (Overtime rates of £19.88-£26.50)
**Working hours**: 7:30am-4:30pm
**Working days**: Monday-Friday. Overtime available on Saturdays.
