Falcon Investment Management - Mayfair, London About Falcon Falcon Investment Management is a leading Alternative Asset Manager and hedge fund platform based in Mayfair. We manage a diverse range of liquid alternative strategies through our multi-manager platform. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and strategic addition to our Operations function, to lead the department and oversee all middle- and back-office activities across the firm. Role Overview This is a position responsible for managing and developing Falcon’s operational infrastructure, ensuring robust processes, efficient fund operations, and effective oversight of third-party providers. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in hedge fund or asset management operations, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the operations team, providing strategic direction and hands-on oversight of all operational functions. Own the operational relationship with key stakeholders - Fund Administrators, Prime Brokers, Custodians, Counterparties, Auditors, and Portfolio Managers. Oversee fund launches, structuring, onboarding, and operational setup across multiple jurisdictions. Maintain and enhance Falcon’s operational framework, ensuring best practices in trade support, reconciliation, NAV oversight, and reporting. Coordinate and lead the annual audit and operational due diligence processes for both internal and external managers. Strengthen internal control systems and risk management processes in coordination with Compliance and Risk teams. Identify, design, and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Oversee regulatory and investor reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Represent the operations function at management and board meetings, providing insights and strategic recommendations. Maintain operational due diligence (ODD) on external managers across asset classes including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and real assets. Experience & Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in hedge fund, asset management, or investment operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Strong understanding of fund structures (onshore/offshore), middle- and back-office processes, and regulatory frameworks (AIFMD, FCA). Proven experience managing third-party service providers and leading fund launches. Background in fund accounting, operational due diligence, or fund oversight is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive projects, and deliver operational excellence in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage both internal and external relationships effectively.
