The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.

Job Description
Join our dedicated team at Marie Curie Glasgow Hospice as a Catering Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality catering services that support patients, families, and staff.

As a key member of our catering team, you will assist in the daily preparation and provision of meals and refreshments, ensuring a smooth and efficient service throughout the hospice. This is a hands-on role that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to supporting those in our care.

What We're Looking For

• Has experience working in a catering environment, ideally within a health and social care setting
• Is confident with minor food handling and preparation tasks
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Thrives in a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to shared goals

Additional Information

Salary:
Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 £25,694 - £27,900 pro rata per annum

Contract:
12 month Fixed Term Contract

Hours:
30 hours per week (including weekends)

Marie Curie Glasgow Hospice
