We take pride in offering a learning environment and organisational culture that contribute positively to the health, wellbeing and sustainability of our community and enable all our students and staff to achieve their full potential.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing high-quality placements for learners across a range of Early Years settings, including employers, bespoke EYFS provision, and LEA-led formal education. You will actively promote and market the Early Years programmes within the community and wider vocational sector, ensuring strong visibility and engagement. As the central interface between EYFS settings and the College's Early Years department, you will help ensure that programmes align with employer needs and support outstanding learner experiences.

What Will You Bring to the Role

  • Delivering: Working independently to source and secure placements for the students
  • Coping: maintaining focus when checking the chosen setting on matters relating to Health and Safety and Welfare, Fire Precautions, Liability Insurance and Equal Opportunities Policy by way of appropriate organisational policy, procedure and risk assessment.
  • Driving: To ensure that the students find a suitable placement and that the timesheets are kept up to date and recorded on the college system.
  • Encouraging: Build a relationship with the students and the placements

Benefits

  • Holiday: 29 days plus bank holidays and College Closure over Christmas.
  • Career development opportunities.
  • Generous contributions towards your pension.
  • Free tea, coffee and lunch in our dedicated staff lounge.

How we recruit

We aim to recruit based on potential, not experience. We are interested in seeing your behaviours in action and how they will help you become successful at City College Plymouth, giving everyone the opportunity to show their potential, regardless of background or experience.

After completing our online application form, you will be asked to complete an online assessment within a few days of this Vacancy closing. This assessment asks you no questions at all. Instead, it observes your behaviour and natural strengths in action, with a series of engaging, intuitive tasks. You will receive a report outlining your behaviours once you have completed the assessment, regardless of whether you progress to the next stage or not, providing you with some feedback.

The College welcomes applications from service leavers and the Armed Forces community, and supports those service leavers who are Reservists in any of the Armed Forces.

The College reserves the right to close this advertisement early if sufficient applications have been received.
